Unlike other programs where member have a bracelet with a few words inscribed or carry a card with cryptic, hard-to-read, handwritten or microfiche information. Medical Record Storage has a staff of professionally trained specialists who work 24 hours a day to provide extensive medical information instantaneously to authorized Paramedics or Emergency Room Doctors. Having these professionals and this depth of information available at all times improves outcomes and saves lives.

Medical Record Storage also provides a convenient way to transfer medical information to new doctors, specialists or a child’s school or camp. With Medical Record Storage, the member determines what information is shared, when and with whom. Medical Record Storage has a complete system of security controls, including a personal identification number to ensure that records are released only with the member’s authorization.

How the Program Works:

To enroll, members complete a simple questionnaire regarding their medical profile and related personal information. Along with the questionnaire, members may also send Medical Record Storage up to fifteen pages of documents such as doctor’s notes, recent hospital discharge summaries and living wills. Once Medical Record Storage receives this enrollment material, Medical Record Specialists process the information and mail the member a Membership Kit within two weeks.

The membership kit includes a copy of the member’s Health Profile, a personalized Medical Record Storage Card, an "Update to Member Information" form and a "Frequently Asked Questions" sheet. The member or an authorized health care provider can call Medical Record Storage’s toll-free hot line at any time and speak to a trained specialist who will verify membership and location, and release information. Members may make unlimited changes or updates to their records at Medical Record Storage at any time at no charge!
